About the Enterprise Challenge Fund for Pacific and South East Asia
No further bidding rounds
Due to high demand and a consistently high quality of bids, all available ECF grant funding (a total of AU$14.5 million since July 2007) has been allocated. No further bidding rounds are likely to be conducted during this phase of the pilot program. A mid term review, conducted in later 2009, will inform a decision by the Australian Government about the future of the Enterprise Challenge Fund. Please continue to check our website for updates.

About ECF
The ECF is a competitive opportunity for businesses to obtain grants to assist in commercialising business projects in ECF participating countries.
Grants of $A100 000 to $A1.5million will be awarded to business projects that can be sustainable within three years and that meet the eligibility criteria, including being able to contribute a minimum of 50% of the project funds required.
Assessment panels, comprising mainly private sector representatives, select the winning proposals.
ECF is an AusAID-led Australian Government initiative. Private sector development is essential for sustainable economic development and underpins Australia’s goal of reducing poverty in the Pacific and South East Asia regions. The $A20 million pilot program will run for six years.
